Public Transport

Ingleton is well served by public transport.

There is a regular bus service to Lancaster and less frequent services to Kendal via Kirkby Lonsdale, and to Settle and Horton in Ribblesdale.

For those without their own transport it is possible, using buses and trains to, to explore the Dales, lakes, Aire valley, Lune valley the Northwest coast and more.

The famous Settle-Carlisle railway line can be joined at either Settle which is 11 miles from Ingleton or Ribblehead, which is 6 miles away. There is also a station 3 miles away at Bentham, which is on the Leeds-Morecambe line.

An Explorer ticket gives unlimited travel for a day from Ingleton on Stagecoach buses within Lancashire and Cumbria.
